Struggling with the enstasy/ecstasy idea, maybe yall can flesh that out more! I’ve been searching, and it seems like it’s out of body vs inner experiences? We are both body and soul (and nous is somehow even deeper?) so does it have to do with the chiasm of body and spirit???

There is definitely a chiastic component there. The way I think of it in this particular context is that the action of the person is either focused outwardly (exstatic) or inwardly (enstatic). So, for example, an exstatic activity might be going out to feed the hungry - you set up a soup kitchen and serve the people who come - you're going outward to do so. The enstatic corollary would be serving meals to the people in your own home - the activity is inwardly focused, with the home being the place that you're either going out of, or staying in. The exstatic is publicly visible, the enstatic is hidden. Does that help a little?

It does. As I started to read your response, I mentally jumped ahead and thought that the enstatic to the exatatic activity of serving in a soup kitchen would be the attitude you have while serving physically. But I see your point. Gonna have to think on more examples.
