I guess you will have to come to the retreat in Canby in May so we can dust off the light-sabers, I should definitely have mentioned that. Where would our homeschooling be with out all the wonderful community! It is fun to get to be the "old lady' these days talking to all the young moms.
"We get really good at stretching as mothers, but do we have limits. So you have to pick and choose which direction to stretch. Some of us have different priorities, some things are harder than others to release." --> Appreciated this part so much, though all was really wise and enjoyable to read. I love hearing the snippets of advice these different homeschool mothers have to share.
Thank you for saying so! I do enjoy the process but do not take the time to write as much as I used to. I was happy to have everyone over for a visit even if only online.
We are waiting room homeschoolers too. Many times over the last 20+ years I’ve often thought to myself that there was no way we could have done ‘regular’ school- they would have missed so much in a public/private setting with all of the hospitalizations. The fact that we can just pick up and go was always such a blessing. Like you, I am down to my last two high schoolers. The other four have graduated. :)
I am always happy and a little sad to meet another family that has had such experiences. It is a humbling journey and we probably all need a hug and a nap. Homeschooling made all the difference in relationships and learning, cuddled together reading in one place is always better than trying to to go in a million directions at once as it takes out a lot of potential resentment. I hope your final years are restful and all in one place!
Maggieeeeeeee!!!!! Where are the lightsaber details?!?!? Haha just joking, I LOVED READING ABOUT YOUR HOME!!

I am so glad it resonated...it was a hard won battle for me.
